It is one of the worst fears that cyber-security has, or at least, should have. Among many other fields and disciplines, Healthcare is one of the most “digitalized”. #DigitalHealth and #mHealth are one of the most popular hashtags for a reason.
It is worrisome to have your identity hacked, your security systems disabled, your email accounts entered…but imagine someone hacking into your insulin pump, your pacemaker…or worse, the surgical robot that is inside your abdomen, now, repairing your bowel, aorta or another vital structure. A real science fiction nightmare. Not anymore.
